The Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce

The Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce is the largest Halloween attraction in New England and is considered one of the best in the US. Okay, it is not a real haunted place like the Chillingham Castle, but can definitely scare you with hundreds of actors and props.

The Haunted Graveyard is located at: 186 Enterprise Drive, Bristol, CT 06010

When you drive up to this address, you may see nothing, but just a road with trees on both sides. Just keep driving on this road, and you will see a toll gate type booth, where they give you a parking pass for $6.00 . After you park in a huge parking lot, you can walk to the Haunted graveyard located inside the largest theme park in New England, called the Lake Compounce Theme Park. The ticket for the Haunted Graveyard costs $21.99 for adults and $15.99 for children. If you want to enjoy the rides in the theme park as well, you can get a combo ticket for $29.99 (for children it is $20.99). Watch out for the guy with a chain saw even before you enter the park!

The Haunted Graveyard is a favorite place for New Englanders. Thousands of people come here to get scared out of their minds and they go home satisfied. As you enter this Haunted Graveyard, you are told not to touch the actors or props.

The trip inside the Graveyard will last for at least 45 minutes and there are several themes designed to scare you. I am going to give you a few:

The Cemetery: This is a large, open cemetery that has several ghosts, demons and dead bodies. Some of them walk around you, some lie dead and some will sneak up on you and scare the crap out of you! These actors are very well trained and wear expensive make up done by special make up artists.

Farmer's Cornfield: The cornfield is designed very well and can give you chills when you walk through it. It is very dark and it is a perfect place for an uninvited soul to confront you.

The Count's Castle: This is a safe haven for Vampires and they hiss at your face when you are totally unaware. The vampires are very blood thirsty :) , so be careful.

Saw Mill: The saw mill is a gory sight. There are many blood stained gadgets here and you can see many dead bodies. You can see blood everywhere.

Mayan Temple: This temple is designed based on the Mayan temple and you are warned not to enter into this place. If you do enter, be ready to face the consequences.
